Fun Pleasant and Useful
"Pleasant and Beneficial Fun" - a weekly published in Warsaw in the years 1770-1777 by Michał Gröll; the first Polish literary magazine, since 1771 unofficial organ of the Thursday dinners. "Pleasant and Beneficial Fun" had a significant impact on the revival of the literary life of the Enlightenment in Poland, the development of new literature, the dissemination of knowledge of the writers of the time. The writers were associated with the most eminent writers and poets of the epoch, among others. Adam Naruszewicz, Ignacy Krasicki, Franciszek Dionizy Kniaźnin, Franciszek Zabłocki, Tomasz Kajetan Węgierski.
Naruszewicz and Albertrandi were the leaders. The writing was related to King Stanislaw August Poniatowski and he often supported his policy and praised the king as a patron of art and literature. Songs written in "Pleasant and Beneficial Fun" were often political.
In the years 1804-1806, Cyprian Godebski and Ksawery Kossecki again began to play "Pleasant and Beneficial Games", but they failed to match the original version. Bibliography
