Irrenschloss in 1864

Irrenschloss - a common name for the city of mental illness and epilepsy (Anstalt für Irre und Epileptische) in Frankfurt am Main, founded by Heinrich Hoffman, director of the institution from 1851 to 1888. Irrenschloss was located on the outskirts of the city, now in the district of Frankfurt-Westend.
