Country (diary)
"Country" - political daily published in 1869-1874 in Cracow.
Adam Stanisław Sapieha was the initiator of the writing as an alternative to the conservative daily "Czas". Published in 1869, he was an organ of political liberalism and positivism in culture, and presented a high level of journalism. His progressive character "Country" was, in the first place, Ludwik Gumplowicz (editor in 1873). Józef Ignacy Kraszewski. It was the first time in the pages of "Kraju" the slogan of bringing Adam Mickiewicz's body to Wawel.
The closure of the diary in 1874 was the result of internal conflicts and financial problems. Bibliography
