Georges Hayem Georges Hayem (born 24 November 1841 in Paris, died 27 August 1933) is a French physician internist, professor and chief of the Hôpital Tenon in 1879-1911. In 1875 he began research in hematology, is considered one of its creators. He invented the method of calculating red blood cells. In 1878 he used for the first time the blood thinning fluid that bears his name (Hayema ​​fluid). He described haemolytic jaundice and chronic interstitial nephritis.
