Roman Igoriewicz


Roman Igoriewicz (d. 1211) - Prince of Józefrodzki (1206-1207, 1208-1210, 1210-1211) and Halicki (1207, 1211), son of Igor Swiatowicz.

After the death of Roman Mścisławowicz he took over the Zwenigród and became his prince, twice as Prince of Halice. After the capture of Halicz, the Hungarian army had to withdraw. He returned to strengthen his power, he ordered the loss of about 500 boyars. Bojari summoned the help of King Andrzej II of Hungary. Halich's forces returned to Hungary, and Roman was captured by them. The Halicans were bought from Hungarian slavery, and they hung with their brother, Swornus.
