Lymphedema-distichiasis syndrome - a genetic disease caused by a mutation in the MFH1 transcription factor gene at the 16q24.3 locus. Also associated with mutations in this locus with overlapping phenotypes are the Meige syndrome (OMIM # 153200), lymphedema syndrome-yellow nails (OMIM # 153300) and lymphedema-ptoza syndrome (OMIM # 153000). / p>

The clinical picture of the syndrome consists of congenital lymphedema of the limbs or neck area, as well as a double row of eyelash (distichiasis). Bibliography
