AN-M57

AN-M57 - an American bomb destroying the 250-pounder. Work on this bomb began in 1938. It was used during World War II by US Air Force and USAAC. After the war, it was armed with USF and US Navy weapons and NATO air forces. Withdrawn from the 60s.

AN-M57 bomb had an olive-colored body with a yellow strip around the nose and tail. The bomb was armed with two head detonators (AN-M103, M110 or M118) and rear (AN-M100A2 or M112A1). Bibliography
