Grigorij Gagarin (writer)
Grigorij Ivanovich Gagarin (born 1782 - died 1837) is a Russian diplomat, lawyer and translator. An employee of Russian diplomatic missions in Vienna and Constantinople. Since 1807 the secretary of conscience in Paris. From 1811 secretary of state. From 1822 the mission secretary in Rome. Russian envoy in Rome from 1827 and Munich in 1832.
In 1832 he was editor of the encyclical Cum primum, in which Pope Gregory XVI condemned the participants of the November uprising. Bibliography
