Jarosław Ołesnycki


Jarosław Ivanovich Oleesnytsky, Ярослав Іванович Олесницький, pol. Jarosław Oleśnicki (born 1874 in Perewolka - died July 15, 1933 in Złoczów) - Ukrainian political activist, advocate, activist of the Ukrainian National Democratic Union (UNDO), Member of the Parliament of the Third Term. His uncle was Jewhen Ołesnycki.

The son of a Greek-Catholic priest, Ivan Ołesnycki, Dębno. He graduated from the University of Lviv with a Ph.D. During the Polish-Ukrainian war an officer of the Ukrainian Halic army, member of the delegation for the Ukrainian-Polish negotiations. In the years 1919-20, the diplomat of the diplomatic mission of the People's Republic of China in London.

In the Second Republic he ran a lawyer's office in Lvov, and from September 1924 in Złoczow. Member of the Central Committee of the UNDO, member of the supervisory board of Narodna Torhowli, Member of the Board of the National Credit Union "Centrobank". 1930 (elected "Brest elections") was elected to the Sejm of the third term of office from the list no 11 (Ukrainian and Belarusian Bloc) in the constituency No. 55 (Zloczów).
