WebOS

WebOS (Web Operating System) - A technologically advanced script available from the browser, imitating a visually and physically stationary operating system.

The concept of WebOS developers is to create small, fast, and visually-close-to-the-fly, mobile operating systems that users can log on to virtually any mobile device (such as a PDA, laptop, cell phone). History

The WebOS project was created at the University of California at Berkeley, which then transferred its research to Duke University.

After a few years, the project became so popular that in 1999 WebOS Inc. was the first WebOS-based company (it acquired Duke University in the same year). Another move was the acquisition of young Swedish programmer Fredrik Malmer, creator of the first online graphic environment. The first Internet operating system (created in DHTML technology) was created using HyperOffice.
