Edward Hantulik


Edward Hantulik (born 1949 - June 28, 1994) is a painter, a tusk from birth and birth. A graduate of the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts, studied in 1977-1982 under the supervision of prof. Juliusz Joniak and Jerzy Nowosielski. He promised to be an outstanding artist, received in 1987 a creative scholarship of the Ministry of Culture and Art. As one of the "young writers", he exhibited his paintings in the Katowice Artistic Bureau - individual and retrospective exhibition. He took part in the 1984 Contemporary Art Biennial in Szczecin. His creative output has reached over 200 paintings, as well as drawings and a dozen or so sculptures.

In the years 1987-1994 he was also fascinated by sculpture. He worked with the best Upper Silesian sculptors. Long-time friendship with the sculptor Stanislaw HochuĊ‚a has resulted in many interesting works.
