Elekt Owaniszewski (born 1678, died in 1741) is a Franciscan monk, preacher and author of religious writings.

He was active in many reformist monasteries in Poland. His main publication was a prayer book titled: The voice of the synagogue in the wilderness of the moaning world is the godly Christian soul of meditation, to the Lord God, the Spouse of eternal sighs in Christendom's perfection of the quarter, published in 1735 in Lviv. 1741 in Lwow, 1752 and 1774 in Lublin, 1888 in Chełmno, a considerable part of them was given anononly).

This prayer book was one of the more popular in Poland in the second half of the 18th century and in the nineteenth century, and as a well-known devotional text, a typical Baroque title and style was often referred to in the literary world. It was ironically spoken by Ignacy Krasicki in Monachomachia and Eliza Orzeszkowa in the novel Pompalińscy. Bibliography
