The room in Nystad (Finnish Uudenkaupungin Rauha) was signed by Sweden and the Russian Federation on September 10th (August 30th according to the Julian calendar) in 1721 in Uusikaupunki (Nystad) on the west coast of Finland. He ended the Third Northern War.
This war ended with the victory of the Russian army. Under the terms of peace, Sweden lost to Russia: Ingria, Karelia with the cities of Vyborg, Estonia and Livonia. Sweden was also obliged to pay reparations.
