Waclaw Kubacki
Waclaw Kubacki (born September 7, 1907, December 16, 1992) is a Polish literary historian, critic, and writer.
He was educated at a primary school in Nieszawa, where his Latin teacher was Maximilian Maria Kolbe, who then directed him to continue his education at the Sanok Junior High School. He studied in Austria and Italy, where Stanisław Kołaczkowski helped him. He obtained his doctorate, then studied in Germany, Switzerland and France, and was supported by Mieczysław Grydzewski.
He made his debut in the autumn of 1927 in the Scientific-Literary Supplement of the "Illustrated Daily Courier", and the first critical sketch appeared in 1932 in the "Literary News." In 1933 he received the first prize in the "Literary News" competition for psychological issues in the film.
Professor UAM, UJ, UW. In the years 1971-1972 editor-in-chief of "Literatury na Świecie".
In 1949, the President of the Republic of Poland Boleslaw Bierut gave him the Order of the Second Class Labor Medal. On July 21, 1968, he received the National First Degree Prize. Creation Bibliography
