He studied law and economics at the University of Madrid. He participated in the 1936-1939 civil war on the franks. He was a junior officer in the engineering corps. He received several military decorations. Since 1940 he belonged to Opus Dei. On his initiative he was created at the University of Madrid Faculty of Economics and Political Science.
