David Koresh Actually Vernon Wayne Howell (born August 17, 1959 in Houston, Texas, April 19, 1993 in Waco, Texas) is an American leader of the apocalyptic sect of the David Branch, a division of David's Seventh-day Adventist Church. / p>
He considered himself the next incarnation of the Messiah. He thought he might have many wives, so he had a lot of lover, many of whom were minors.
In March 1993, when police wanted to arrest him, he barred himself with his fellow believers at a farm in Waco, Texas. Then there was a shoot-out between members of David's Branch and the FBI agents who were besieging the building. For members of the sect, it was unclear who attacked them, because they called the police by phone. In the Federal Service, the farm was in flames. After firing a fire and finding the remains of David Koresh, he was found dead from a head shot. The position of the wrist needed to make such a shot reduces the probability of suicide, though it does not exclude it. However, it is certain that with him 74 fellow believers (including children) and 4 ATF agents died. Only 9 people survived the fire, not including those who volunteered to fire (21 children and two adults). Bibliography Authoritative control (person):
