Mydoom

Mydoom (worm family of worm.Mydoom) - Malicious software known mainly due to DDoS attacks from February 1, 2004 to SCO servers and February 3, 2004 to Microsoft servers.

The worm spread as an attachment in e-mail messages. The titles and content of these messages varied, but all contained an incentive to open the attachment, so that despite the repetition, the worm gained more victims. Although the pest probably originated in early 2004, it is still common today. One of the reasons for this is the virus of the over-the-top administrator, that is, the phrases to be spoofed by the sender's worm. There are various programs that help you get rid of them, but they do not eliminate all the mutation of the worm and are hard to protect from it.
