549th Grenadier Division (549th Volks-Grenadier Division) - one of the German divisions of the Grenadier Division. Created in October 1944 by the transformation of the 549th Grenadier Division as a 32nd Mobilization Division. It was mainly occupied by XXVII Army Corps (4th Army) and XXVI Army Corps (3rd Armored Corps), fighting in the composition of the Army Group Center and the Vistula River in East Prussia, West and near Szczecin. The division was captured by the Americans.
