Jan Kaszuba

Jan Kaszuba (born May 18, 1921 in Bialystok, Poland, October 15, 2007) is a Polish activist, entrepreneur and president of the Polish Canadian Congress in 1980-1986, chairman of the Polish-Polish Community Council, co-founder of the Polish-Canadian Chamber of Commerce . Graduate of the National College of Rubber Technology and the Chemistry of the Polytechnic in England. After the outbreak of World War II he participated in Polish defense activities as a scout in Gdynia. He was imprisoned by the German occupier and was arrested by the Gestapo in 1942, for four months he was detained in a Gdansk prison.
