After the outbreak of World War II, he participated in the Polish defense activities of September 1939, and during the occupation, a member of the underground, a participant in the rebellion of prisoners detained in the prison at ul. In 1942, a prisoner of Pawiak and the German concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau, where he played in a camp orchestra.

He was a long-time member of the National Philharmonic Orchestra and co-founder of the Association of Polish Soldiers of Soldiers.

He was buried on October 12, 2007, at the Powązki Military in Warsaw. Bibliography
