Enwironmentalistyczna Partia Agrarna
The Environmentalist Agrarian Party (PAA) is an Albanian political party founded in 1991. Lu Xhuveli is the leader of the party. The PAA has been a reformist party since 2003, promoting the ideology of the free market in the economic system. In 1997, the party achieved an electoral result of 0.65% which allowed the party to introduce a single member to the parliament. In the 2001 election, the party won 2.6% and introduced three candidates to the parliament, namely Lufter Xhuveli from Zone 125, Ndue Preka from Zone 126 and Refat Dervina from Zone 127.
In the 2003 local elections, the PAA formed an election coalition with the Socialist Party of Albania. The PAA Socialist Party won the Socialists in three Albanian municipalities. In the parliamentary elections in 2005, the party received 88,605 (6.5%) of the vote, which allowed the party to put four candidates for parliament.
In 1998, Lufter Xhuveli was appointed Minister of Agriculture, but in 2002 he became Minister of the Environment and resigned in 2003.
