Marian Ormaniec


Marian Albin Ormaniec (born March 27, 1962 in Gilowice) is a Polish politician, self-governor, entrepreneur, board member and 2008 Deputy Marshal of Silesia. Curriculum vitae

He graduated from the University of Agriculture in Cracow. In the 1980s he worked as a zootechnician, then went on business. He ran his own business and also served as President of the Management Board of Beskidzka Towarzystwo Towarowej S.A. (1996-1998) and the Beskid Wholesale Hurtownia S.A. (2002-2006).

In the years 2001-2002 he was the vice-governor of Silesia. In 2006 and 2010 he was appointed a councilor of the Silesian Regional Council. In 2006 he was appointed to the board of the voivodship. In January 2008, after the change of the coalition, he was appointed deputy speaker. He was recalled in October of the same year after press releases in which he was accused of nepotism and exploitation of his function.

He failed to run for the Sejm in 2001, 2005, 2007 and 2011, to the European Parliament in 2009 and to the mayor of Gilowice and the county council of Żywiec in 2014.

It belongs to the Polish People's Party, since 2005 it manages the voivodeship structures of this party. It also operates in the Voluntary Fire Brigade Board. Bibliography
