Saccocoma
Saccocoma - the extinct type of free-flowering lilies (Crinoidea) living in Jurassic and Cretaceous.
They floated freely in water (nekton). They had 5 doubly separated arms. The size of Saccocoma is about 5 cm. Most often found in the upper jury (kimeryd, tobacco) of Germany. Also common in the Tatra Mountains, including the Polish part of these mountains, eg at the summit of Giewont, where the remains of the Saccocoma form crater lime. They are also in the Alps. Most Saccocoma lilacs behave in the form of completely disconnected skeletons, but they are well known for their highly scientific and collectible skeletons, such as the late Jurassic pieces from Solnhofen. The fossils of various Saccocom species have some significance in dating rocks and are ancillary fossils for the late jury.
