Savage (modeling)


Savage is a family of remotely controlled models manufactured by American Hobby Products International (HPI), first presented in 2001.

These are models in the 1: 8 scale with combustion engine. Their construction is based on the frame. They are equipped with a two-stage gearbox and two differentials. Each wheel has two long shocks. The model is powered by a 3.5-5.9 cm internal combustion engine.

A modeling fuel consisting of castor oil, nitromethane and other additives is poured into the tank. It can be fired in two ways: with a shovel or electric starter. It is controlled by specialized radio equipment operating in the 27 MHz band.
