Sherman Act
Sherman Antitrust Act or Sherman Act - an American law of 1890, adopted after the series of mergers that took place among large American corporations.
The Act considered illegal monopolisation of business (any person who would act monopolistically or have secret agreements with another person or persons to monopolize any part of the production or other states would be guilty of an offense). Unlawful agreements or collusion that have acted in a manner restricting business activity (any contract, trust or other relationship and secret agreement to restrict production or trade between states or other states) are also illegal.
It was developed by Clayton.
