Ineni, an Egyptian architect and high civil servant in the eighteenth dynasty, engaged in important construction projects during the reign of Amonhotep I, Totmes I, Totmes II and the correlation of Hatshepsut and Totmes III. The most famous projects led by Inengo include the expansion of the temple in Karnak (where he built alabaster chapel for the holy barge of Amon) and the construction of the first tomb in the Valley of the Kings. During the reign of Queen Hatshepsut, Senenmut lost weight at the expense of Sennmut, although he was still engaged by the royal family. This was reflected in the inscriptions on the steles of his tomb. Probably because of his respect, Hatsheepsut's name was not removed from his tomb during Totmes III.
