John Frederick Sackville
John Frederick Sackville, 3rd Prince Dorset (born March 24, 1745, died July 19, 1799), British aristocrat and diplomat and well-known cricket player.
Between 1784 and 1789 he was a British ambassador in Paris, where he promoted cricket in Paris, England.
Sackville was known for his dislike of the Russians, who wanted to use the Swedes. Erik Magnus Staƫl von Holstein advised Gustaf Adam von Nolcken in 1788 on the use of this weakness, quite an easygoing British diplomat. Bibliography
