Quirky property
The quirky property (Latin dominium ex iure Quiritium, proprietas) is property owned only by Roman citizens (solemnly called Quirites).
It was a kind of property protected by civil law (ius civile). Its subject could be movable property and the real property which was located in Italy.
For the transfer of ownership of things referred to as res mancipi, formal acts were required: maneuvering (witness activities) or in iure cessio.
The division into quirky and bourgeois property was abolished in the Justinian Code. Read about legal notices in Wikipedia.
