Adam Scharrer
Adam Scharrer (born 13 July 1889 in Wendelstein, died 2 March 1949 in Schwerin), German novelist, novelist and playwright.
The son of a shepherd, he learned to be a locksmith. After passing the exam, he traveled to Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy to look for a job. He was involved in various professions such as a turner and a shipbuilder. He participated in the First World War. He was a member of Spartakusbund, and in 1920-1933 he was a member of the German Communist Workers' Party. He worked as editor of the newspaper Kommunistische Arbeiterzeitung and collaborated with Proletarier magazine where in 1925 his first story, Weintrauben (Grapevine), appeared. In 1933 he emigrated to Czechoslovakia. In 1934 he was deprived of German citizenship by the National Socialists. In the years 1935-1945 he stayed in the USSR, where he continued his literary activity. In the emigre, the writer was based on a model of a fighting communist hero alone.
