Efekt Wieganda

Wiegand Effect - a physical phenomenon discovered by John R. Wiegand. The special wire with a soft magnetic core and a hard magnetic material sheath, called Wiegand wire, possesses its bistable magnetization characteristics. The sensor also includes a coil, and during the wire demagnetization there is a Barkhausen leap.

This phenomenon has been applied in many sensors, and its advantages include no sensor supply voltage and operating range from -70 ° C to + 200 ° C. Bibliography
