Peripheral edema
The periapical ring - a component of the nervous system of certain invertebrates (rings, arthropods, lobules, throats and Cycloneuralia).
In the neural system of the rings there are superficial and subcortical cerebral ganglia, which connect to form the so-called periapical ring. Neural trunks are removed from the ganglia. Each segment is provided with a pair of coils placed on the trunk of the nerve. These coils are connected by transverse nerve fibers. Such a structure makes the nervous system resemble a ladder. That's why it's called a ladder nervous system. Bibliography
