plunges

Precipitation - sedimentary structure, classified into deformation structures, formed as a result of sludge sinking in an unconsolidated rock substrate. As a rule it has the form of bulging in the bottom (bottom) rock surface.

The overflow occurs when the higher layer sludge has a higher density than the sludge layer. Sometimes they are completely separated from the parent rock and form droplet forms in the embankment, from which they differ in the nature of the rock material. The average size of the crushes is several millimeters to several inches.

Dowels are used to determine the original arrangement of crushed rock layers, as they are always formed on the original bottom of the shoals.

It occurs in all types of sedimentary rocks. Bibliography
