Undifferentiated somatic disorders

Undifferentiated somatic disorders are persistent for a short period of time, weakly exacerbated and not associated with other somatization-inducing disorders classified in ICD-10 as non-differentiated somatic disorders.

Suffering can be long-term, despite the ever-changing clinical picture. Somatic disorders and their associated complaints are not accompanied by clearly visible abnormalities of life, and behavioral disturbances mainly focus on unsuccessful and persistent search for relief from ailments.

Psychosomatic disorders should be distinguished from the notion of psychosomatic illness, referring to hypotheses to explain the emergence of certain diseases.
