Andrzej Wojdylo


Andrzej Wojdyło (born 1955 in Mlawa, died June 17, 2008 in Płońsk) - Polish manager, opposition activist during the People's Republic of Poland, former governor of Ciechanowski. Curriculum vitae

Educated historian (graduated from the Higher School of Pedagogy in Olsztyn), worked as a teacher and journalist in "Słowo Powszechny". In 1980 he joined Solidarity, a press spokesman for the association in Ciechanów. After martial law, he was interned for almost four weeks. In the 1980s he worked at the Provincial Statistical Office (1982-1984) and the company "Takon" as its deputy director (1984-1988). He was the founder and president of the Catholic Association "Politicus". In 1989 he belonged to the creators of the local Civic Committee. Later associated with the Union of Freedom.

In the years 1990-1993 he was the first (non-communist) governor of Ciechanów. Later he withdrew from politics. In 1994 he became deputy chairman of the TUW Mutual Insurance Company, and from 1995 to 2008 he was the head of the company.

He died due to injuries caused by a road accident. Bibliography
