Markus Kac
Markus Kac (born November 30, 1918 in Świlcza, November 5, 2005 in Katowice) - Polish communist leader of Jewish descent, 1953-1956 head of the Investigation Department of the Provincial Public Security Office in Stalinogrod, 1951-1953 WUBP Investigation Department in Gdańsk and in the years 1949-1951 deputy head of the Department of Investigation of the Gdańsk WUBP. Convicted in March 1996 among 11 Stalinist torturers, along with Adam Humer, director of the Department of Investigation of the Ministry of Public Security. The court found them to be mistreated over political prisoners in Stalin's time.
He died in Katowice. He is buried in a Jewish cemetery on Kozielska Street. His son is Wlodzimierz Kac (born 1951).
