Lisbon Group - created by nineteen members from Japan, Western Europe and North America with theoretical education and practical experience in business, governmental structures, international and academic organizations. Its founder is Riccardo Petrella, the FAST leader at the European Union Commission in Brussels and the lead author of the "Competitiveness Limits". Two full meetings of the group took place in Lisbon and several smaller editorial sessions took place in Nagai (Japan), Varna (Belgium), Lisbon and Montreal to allow all members to actively contribute to the report.
The Lisbon Group has the following opinions:
1. Eliminate inequalities - this means providing all people with water, housing and energy.
2. Tolerance and dialogue of cultures - rapprochement between peoples and respect for distinctness, customs and traditions.
3. The pursuit of global governance - the transformation of the United Nations General Assembly into a world parliament.
4. Reasonable Development - Implementation of the "Agenda 21" adopted in Rio de Janeiro in 1992. Bibliography
