Military Union of Russian Nationalists
Military Federation of Russian Nationalists (Russian: Боевой Союз Русских Националистов, BSRN) - Russian collaborating organization for Germany during the Second World War.
The organization was founded at the beginning. April 1942 in the camp for prisoners of war with the Red Army in Suwałki. Initially it was called the National Party of the Russian Nation. It was created by Lt. Col. Vladimir W. Gil, former chief of staff of the Soviet 229th Rifle Division, who adopted the nickname "Rodionow". One of the founders was Maj. Gen. Paweł W. Bogdanow, former commander of the 48th Rifle Division. The BSRN grouped Soviet officers and sergeant soldiers in the Suwałki camp. He was supervised by SD.
Each member of the BSRN filled in a special questionnaire, received a party card, and signed a written oath of allegiance to the leadership of the organization. In June it was written by Lt. Col. W. Gila-Rodionowa BSRN program, followed by a conference in Breslaw with 35 delegates announcing the appointment of the "new Russia" representative. The President of the BSRN hoped to entrust him with managing occupational politics in the occupied areas of the USSR. BSRN combat units were called combat teams.
Meanwhile, at the end of April 1942, the leadership of the party, subordinated to the Unternehmen "Zeppelin", transferred the Germans to the concentration camp Sachsenhausen, where the BSRN staff was formed. It was divided into 3 groups: war, special purpose (agent recruitment) and personnel preparation. The "Zepellin" co-workers were at their helm. After some time in Sachsenhausen only the cadre group was left and the rest were transferred to various Zeppelin camps.
Military group under the command of LC. W. Gila-Rodionov, in the number of about 100 people, went to the General Government, where a military unit in the strength of the battalion under the name "Druschina Verband" was formed. Its commander was Lieutenant Colonel W. Gil-Rodionow. Part of the Russians was directed to the "Zeppelin" intelligence school in Jabłonna near Warsaw. Soon the battalion was transferred to Stary Bychowo. In March 1943, it was merged with another battalion called "Druschina II" in the 1st Russian National SS Regiment, numbering about 2 thousand. soldiers. Soon it was transformed into the 1st Russian National SS Brigade, numbering about 2,500. people. It was directed to Belarus to fight partisans, during which part of the Brigade together with Lt. Col. W. Gil-Rodionov - after killing German instructors and some Russians who did not want to betray, passed the guerrilla war on 16 August. Bibliography
