He graduated from the Faculty of Economics and International Relations at the Cracow University of Economics. Between 2002 and 2003, he was an advisor to the Minister for Labor and Social Policy. From May 14, 2004 to November 17, 2005, he served as Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Social Policy.

In 2006 he became director of the Polish Confederation of Polish Employers Lewiatan and then adviser to the president and deputy director general of the Confederation of Polish Employers.

On December 17, 2007, he assumed the position of Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Economy. December 1, 2011 assumed the same position in the Ministry of Treasury. June 10, 2015 Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz announced at the press conference that he had accepted his resignation.
