Stanisław Buczyński
Stanislaw Buczyński (born July 23, 1912 in Ulatowo-Borzuchy, Przasnysz County, died February 23, 1982 in Kotorów) is a poet and activist of the popular movement.
He came from a peasant family. He was studying in matura courses. After his father's return from emigration he lived in Jankowice near Grudziądz. From about 1929 he was active in the folk movement and he cooperated with the folk press. He was a member of the SL, organizing two-strikes (set up in Berez) for organizing strikes. After the outbreak of war he had to hide and then - he went to Kotorow (municipality Werbkowice). After liberation he lived in Hrubieszów, then moved to Kotorów in 1968.
His literary output includes over 1000 works published in the press, in poetry collections and in several almanacs and anthologies of folk poetry. In the author's life there appeared books: "Maki" (1963), "Fighting Day" (1968) and "Everything in me is out of the box" (1981). Even after Buczynski's death, the collection "From My Days" (1987) and "Bird Orchestra" were released. The editorial essence of the poet's work is a two-volume collection of lyrics, memoirs and letters "On the Roads" (1993). Poet received the prize for them. J. Pocka (1974).
Buried in a cemetery in Hostynne (Gmina Werbkowice). Since 1987, in the two-year cycles of Zamojski Dom Kultury and the Association of Folk Artists in Zamość, they organize the Poetry Competition for them. Stanisław Buczyński. In 2007, its eleventh edition was held. Authoritative control (person):
