Warm colors - the subjective definition of colors shifted in the color spectrum towards the red.

This term can be absolute (refer only to shades of red, orange, and yellow) as well as relative: it can refer to virtually any chromatic color that is shifted toward red rather than colorfully perceived as "pure". For example, green olive shades are considered warm and emerald shades are too cold, and this assignment can vary considerably depending on the individual characteristics of the observer's perception. This term may also refer to "almost" achromatic colors, ie shades of gray may also be considered warm if they contain a warm color or are absolutely neutral in the vicinity of "cold" colors.

Warm colors range from warm green to yellow, orange and red to medium violet.

Coloring as warm is the exact opposite of color temperature, since colors that are considered warm correspond to lower color temperatures.

In general, warm colors are considered stimulating, optimistic, sometimes aggressive. This is not entirely consistent with the empirically verified psychological pattern of color, as people of different characters may react differently to this.
