Extraction - a component of a mast, a type of tie for horizontal loads. Typically used for radio masts, sailboats, wind turbines, tents and other. One end of the tie is pivotally connected to the mast structure (the diaphragm is the cross-section of the mast structure at the attachment site), the other is pivotally connected to the foundation. The connection of the extractor to the foundation must provide the possibility of tension adjustment, tension measurement and, in the case of radio masts, the possibility of isolation from the ground. In the case of higher designs, groups of equal suction (three or four, depending on the cross section of the mast) are equally distributed around the mast axis, inclined at the same angle. Levels of different levels can, but do not have to be parallel.
