Homograph (linguistics)

Homographs - the orthographic identity of words that differ in their pronunciation and meaning. In Polish, the homonym is mostly associated with homophones, eg "rotten" as 3. os. l. the past verb "to rot" and as an adjective in denominator. as well as playing as 3rd person. l. The present tense of play and as a noun denotes play. There are, however, homogeneous words in the Polish language, but not homophonic, eg different pronounced cis as sound and as a plant, or verbs freeze (from frost) and freeze (from morality).
