Lorenzo Cibo de Mari


Lorenzo Cibo de Mari (born 1450 - December 21, 1503) is an Italian cardinal. From December 1485 until January 1503, the brother of Pope Innocent VIII, who was appointed cardinal in 1489, though he was born of an illegitimate bed. Administrator of the Diocese of Vannes from 1490 until death. From January 1492 to January 1493 he served as a steward of St. The College of Cardinals participated in the conclave of 1492. He opposed the election of Rodrigo Borgia to the pope, for whom (as Pope Alexander VI) threatened him with the deprivation of the Cardinal's dignity.
