Marek Żmajło


Marek Żmajło (date of birth and death unknown) - Hetman of Cossacks registers, leader of the Cossack uprising in 1625.

In 1625 he opposed Poland. In September this year, the Polish army under the command of Stanislaw Koniecpolski, On October 25, Poles attacked the Cossack camp. Cossacks rushed to escape, but they were encircled by Lake Kurukowski.

It was against the negotiations with the Poles, that is why the Cossacks deprived him of the Queen's function, and his successor signed on 6 November 1625 the Kurukow Agreement. Bibliography
