Patrona Halil


Halila Patrons, Jean-Baptiste van Moura's Brush Patron of Halil (died November 25, 1730) - Albanian soldier on the service of the Sultan Ahmed III, formerly a trader with rags and robes. He organized a popular uprising in Istanbul in 1730, which deprived Ahmed of power. The great vizier Nevşehirli Damat İbrahim Pasha was also overthrown. Mahmud I.
