Unlike other tools based on OLAP technology, QlikView does not use any pre-aggregates. Data from source systems is loaded into the native .qvw format, which is a direct data source for the presentation and analytical layer. Data during compression is strongly compressed, reducing the data size to 5-10% relative to the size of the relational model. When working with the tool, the entire file is loaded into RAM and directly added to it, the sum needed depends on the selected selection.
