Angular distance
Angular distance of points on sphere - angle between two straight lines passing through the center of the sphere and each point. Visualally, this can be expressed as the angle between straight lines connecting the observer to the observed objects.
The angular distance is generally expressed in degrees or radians.
In astronomy, the celestial sphere is assumed to be the celestial sphere, and its center is the Earth. Objects that are within a short angular distance can actually share a significant linear distance, as is the case, for example, during the phenomenon of covering stars by the Moon.
