Clarion (programming language)


Clarion is a fourth generation (4GL) programming language for fast MS Windows applications (also available for DOS) and dedicated for database applications.

Each of the available versions of Clarion includes a complete programming environment and a variety of developer tools. The main component of the environment is the Application Generator, which, in conjunction with the Application Builder Class templates, produces ready-made, object-oriented, or structural source code for the application.

Applications created with Clarion from version 5 can be 16-bit (except for web applications) or 32-bit. They run under any version of Microsoft Windows: 3.1, 95, 98, NT, Me, 2000, XP.
