USS Nacheninga (YTM-520)

USS Nacheninga (YTB-520) American tug of the type used in the United States Navy. Operated mainly in Pearl Harbor providing assistance on anchorages and piers and maneuvers. He also provided towing services, fire protection and served as a patrol unit of the internal port.

At the end of the 1940's, he was briefly declared inactive, out of service, but soon resumed his service. Since 1951 he has continued operations in the 14th Naval District in Pearl Harbor. Classed at YTM in 1954 was in service until 1967, when it was deleted from the fleet list and sold. Bibliography
