Wojciech Sitek (born 1945 in Częstochowa, died 3 May 2008 in Wrocław) - sociologist, habilitated doctor, Wrocław University Professor, founder and long-time director of the Institute of Sociology at the University. He also collaborated with the Institute of Journalism and Social Communication at the Lower Silesian College in Wrocław and the Acting Department in Wroclaw State Higher School of Theater in. L. Solski in Cracow. He specialized in the fields of methodology of social sciences, sociology of culture, knowledge and science and general sociology.
